Maranello, 30 settembre 2009 - La Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro comunica di aver raggiunto un accordo di collaborazione tecnico-agonistica con il pilota Fernando Alonso. L’accordo sarà valido per tre stagioni sportive, a partire dal 2010.

La formazione della Scuderia nella prossima stagione sarà dunque composta da Felipe Massa e Fernando Alonso, con Giancarlo Fisichella nel ruolo di pilota di riserva.

Kimi Raikkonen lascerà la squadra alla conclusione di questo campionato, al termine di una partnership fruttuosa e ricca di successi che lo ha visto conquistare il titolo mondiale Piloti nel 2007 e contribuire in maniera decisiva ai titoli iridati Costruttori vinti dalla Ferrari nello stesso 2007 e nell’anno successivo.

“Siamo molto lieti di accogliere nella nostra squadra un pilota vincente, che ha dimostrato il suo straordinario valore conquistando già due titoli iridati nella sua carriera. Fernando ha una personalità eccezionale e faremo di tutto per mettere a disposizione sua e di Felipe una vettura competitiva” – ha detto Stefano Domenicali – “Siamo certi questi due grandi piloti formeranno la miglior coppia possibile per una squadra come la nostra. Detto questo, vogliamo ringraziare Kimi per quanto ha fatto in questo periodo trascorso alla Ferrari: al suo primo anno con noi è riuscito a vincere il titolo mondiale, entrando così nella storia della Scuderia, e ha contribuito in maniera decisiva alla conquista dei campionati Costruttori del biennio 2007-2008. Anche in un campionato complicato come questo ha fatto vedere il suo grande talento ottenendo, fra l’altro, una bellissima vittoria a Spa e speriamo di raccogliere ancora delle belle soddisfazioni insieme nelle ultime gare di questa stagione.”

“Abbiamo deciso di comune accordo di interrompere con un anno di anticipo il rapporto che mi legava alla Ferrari fino al termine del 2010” – ha detto Raikkonen – “Mi dispiace molto lasciare una squadra con cui ho trascorso tre anni fantastici e ricchi di vittorie. Insieme abbiamo vinto il 50% dei titoli iridati in palio e sono riuscito a laurearmi campione del mondo nel 2007, raggiungendo quell’obiettivo che mi ero posto all’inizio della mia carriera. Mi sono sempre trovato bene con tutti e porterò sempre con me dei bellissimi ricordi.”

Lo único que me jode de que Alonso vaya a Ferrari es que el próximo año la prensa deportiva española será inaguantable.

El dilema estaba, desde hace mucho, en transferir tal material a MP3. Totalmente descartado, es una tarea aburrida y que, además, ocupa demasiado tiempo. Pero he aquí que nació Spotify y, para mi alegría, la mayor parte de mi catálogo “clásico” también está disponible en el, de momento, sistema gratuíto de disfrute musical.

By 2001 web startup Third Voice, which let people annotate websites via a browser plugin, was done. Website owners just didn’t like the idea of people “defacing” their websites with comments they couldn’t control.

But the idea has lingered (really), and now Google is taking a shot at their own version of the service. It’s called Sidewiki, and it just launched.

If you’ve been using Google

this month, you’ve probably noticed a series of strange Google Logos. First, Google had their unexplained phenomenon logo, complete with aliens and cryptic code. The mystery deepened when Google had its crop circle logo just a week ago. What did these logos mean? Was Google trying to tell us something?

Now the mystery is solved. Google revealed today that all of their cryptic logos were in honor of the great H.G. Wells, the famous science fiction author. Today would have been his 143rd birthday.

Each of the logos was actually a clue to the answer of the mystery. Here’s Google’s revelation of the clues:

“You might have noticed an unexplained set of doodles on the Google homepage and a couple tweets from our official Twitter/span>

stream, @google, over the last two weeks. On September 5th, we posted a doodle with the abduction of our second ‘o’ and a coded tweet from its alien captors: 1.12.12 25.15.21.18 15 1.18.5 2.5.12.15.14.7 20.15 21.19, which translates into “All your O are belong to us” (a nod to the Japanese video game, Zero Wing).”

“While the link from the doodle to a search for “crop circles” didn’t provide any more clues, we also tweeted the lat/long coordinates of Horsell Commons, the location of the first alien landing in H.G. Wells 1898 classic, The War of the Worlds. Some of you figured out what we were doing, but we weren’t ready to reveal it all just yet.”

We actually have known for a while that Google’s logo mystery was in honor of the English writer. As Google notes in its blog post, several people cracked the mystery after the second logo.

We’re big fans of Mr. Wells’s work (I personally read The Time Machine repeatedly), and have no qualms with Google’s unique homage to the science fiction pioneer. Perhaps sometime in the future H.G. Wells will suddenly appear in his gold-powered time machine to greet us all.

We can only hope.

Remember NES (Nintendo Entertainment System)? It’s an 8-bit video game console released back in 1985. Besides being a solid gaming system, NES brought us legendary games such as Super Mario Bros, Tetris, and The Legend of Zelda.

Well, a chap named Ben Firshman ported a NES emulator called vNES into JavaScript, creating JSNES. Yes, it works in Firefox 3.5 and in Safari 4, but thanks to its JavaScript optimizations, it runs about 10 times faster in Chrome.
